Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to online purchases from Scott Murtagh trading as Murtagh Meats. It explains how to request a cancellation, replacement or refund.

Fresh and perishable products

Many products sold by Murtagh Meats are fresh or rapidly perishable. A change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply once preparation has begun or where a statutory exemption applies. Contact the selected shop as early as possible if plans change.

Cancelling before preparation

We will try to cancel an order that has not entered preparation. Send the order number and request to murtaghmeats@outlook.com or use the Contact page. We will confirm whether cancellation is possible and whether a refund is due.

Incorrect, faulty, damaged or missing goods

Contact the selected shop promptly with the order number, a description of the problem and, where useful, photographs. Where goods are faulty, damaged, missing or not as described, we will provide an appropriate remedy, replacement or refund in line with applicable law. Statutory rights are unaffected.

Eligible non-perishable goods

Where a statutory 14-day cancellation right applies to an eligible non-exempt online purchase, notify us clearly within the applicable period. We will explain any return arrangements. This does not apply where a lawful exemption covers the product.

Missed collection or delivery

Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact information, attending collection during the selected window or being available at the delivery address. Contact the selected shop immediately if plans change. Fresh goods that were prepared for a missed collection or delivery may not qualify for a change-of-mind refund.

How approved refunds are paid

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. We will initiate the refund promptly after approval. The time taken for the credit to appear is controlled by the payment provider or card issuer.
